We want to help you reach your financial goals now and in retirement. We do this by making your super easy to manage, guiding you through every step of your journey. Our priority is giving you the best returns possible to ensure your future lifestyle.
As well as growing your super, we have insurance options to protect you and your loved ones, giving you peace of mind by securing your income.
We were founded on the privatisation of the Electricity Trust of South Australia (ETSA).
The ETSA Scheme comprised the ETSA Staff Super fund (covering white-collar workers and providing pension benefits) and the ETSA Retiring Gratuities Scheme (covering blue-collar workers and providing lump sums).
In 1988, the Pension Scheme (Division 3) and the RG Scheme (Division 4) closed. They were combined into a new Lump Sum defined benefit Scheme (Division 2) in the ETSA Contributory Scheme. In 1999, the non-contributory Accumulation Scheme (Division 5) was also included.
Following the privatisation of ETSA, ElectricSuper came under the umbrella of the Electricity Corporations Act 1994, with the appointment of a Board to manage ElectricSuper.
In 2019 we changed our trading name from EISS to ElectricSuper. We’re still the same fund, offering great service to our members, low fees, and competitive investment returns – it’s just our name that changed!
Note: we are not associated or affiliated with the former EISS Super (a NSW-based super fund which merged with Cbus Super in May 2023).
