Information, changes and important dates
ElectricSuper is changing its administration partner from Mercer Outsourcing (Australia) Pty Ltd (Mercer) to MUFG Retirement Solutions (MUFG). Get help here with extra information and answers to your questions about the superannuation administration transition and limited services period.
Servicing Members and Employers will not stop during the transition. However, they will be paused so that Members’ records can be captured and given to the new administrator. This period is called a Limited Services Period.
To help you be ready for when services slow down see the following timeline of key action dates:

The following services will apply after transition
The Helpline will no longer arrange access to the limited financial advice team for your contributions, investment and insurance options with ElectricSuper. This service stops effective 24 August 2026.
Additionally, some of the digital tools such Investment Profiler tool via Member Online, and the Retirement Planner Calculator, Retirement Income Simulator, and How much do you need to retire calculator will no longer be available.
Access to ElectricSuper’s free consultations is still available to explain your options and to help you manage your super. We can’t give you advice, but we can provide you with the facts. Come and see us to discuss your super.
You can also seek advice from your own financial planner about your ElectricSuper account and have fees deducted from your account.
There is no change to our Helpline and Employers, Members and their Beneficiaries can continue to call 1300 307 844 and +61 1300 307 844 from overseas.
From 1 November 2026 there will be new dedicated email and mailing address which we will provide closer to the time.
If you, or your Beneficiaries, have an urgent matter during the Limited Services Period, please contact ElectricSuper by calling 1300 307 844, emailing inquiries@electricsuper.com.au or by post to Level 1, 89 Pirie Street Adelaide SA 5000.
The Trustee Office, Mercer and MUFG will manage your urgent matter and work with you to resolve the matter during the Limited Services Period.
| I am worried about my account details changing? | All the important things about your ElectricSuper account stay the same with the change to MUFG:
However, if you had a Power of Attorney or Third Party Authority (financial planning) set up on your account we ask that you provide these details again. |
| I am planning to retire during the Limited Services Period, how do I access my benefit? |
If you are planning to retire and access your ElectricSuper benefit during the Limited Services Period, please contact the Trust Office directly to discuss suitable arrangements. You can email the Trust Office team at inquiries@electricsuper.com.au or make appoint to see them at elelctricsuper.com.au/meet-with-us. |
| My external Employer contributes to my ElectricSuper account – what information do I need to give them? | There are no changes to Clearing House or Single Touch Payroll processing. MUFG will receive and process contributions in the same way. |
| I am a non-Member spouse and have a Family Law Split interest over my Spouse’s account. What does the change to MUFG mean to me? | The change of administration services does not change your Family Law Split interest and your details will be transferred to MUFG.

| Can you explain what happens to my pension payments during the Limited Services Period? | Depending on the frequency of your pension payment your last regular pension payment via Mercer will be paid on Thursday 15 October 2026 for monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual pensions due in October 2026 OR Thursday 22 October 2026 for fortnightly pensions.
Pension payments that are be due to be paid between 23 October 2026 and 16 November 2026 will be brought forward and paid on 29 October 2026. MUFG will make its first pension payment on Thursday 19 November 2026 for fortnightly pensions OR Thursday 15 December 2026 for monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual pensions due in December 2026. |
| I am receiving disability payments from ElectricSuper, how do the changes affect me? | The amount and where your Disability Pension OR Disability Income Benefit is paid does not change. Because of the Limited Services Period there will be temporary changes to the dates for some payments due in October and November.
If you are receiving a Division 5 Disability Income Benefit, your case manager will change to the team at MUFG. Some of ElectricSuper’s contact details will change and you will need to send forms to new addresses which will be available from 1 November 2026. |

If we are unable to finalise details before the Limited Services Period commences, all details will be transferred to MUFG, and they will commence work on your matter once the Limited Services Period has ended. | Are ElectricSuper office details changing them? | No, the Trustee Office details are not changing. | Are the Trustee’s bank account details for receiving monies changing? | No, there are no changes to the Trustee’s bank accounts. |
| Why is ElectricSuper changing administrator? | Our current partner Mercer has made a business decision to no longer provide administration services to external superannuation funds. Mercer’s decision aligns with its company’s broader strategic priorities and is no reflection of the 20-year relationship ElectricSuper enjoy with them.
ElectricSuper has assessed other administration companies to continue to provide Members and Employers with robust reliable operational services. We are pleased to have appointed MUFG Retirement Solutions as our new administration partner. |
| Will this transition to MUFG change the current role of the Board or the Trustee Office? | No, it only impacts the daily administration of ElectricSuper.
ElectricSuper’s Management Team in the Trustee Office and Board who are responsible for looking after the Scheme stay the same. All current Board responsibilities, including Governance and Investment Policy, are unaffected by the change of administrator. We still have the same focus on Members. There are no changes to worksite visits, or appointments. You will see Martin Dabrowski on the road, and you can still talk to the Member Services team at ElectricSuper. You can make appoints at electricsuper.au/meet-with-us. Both the Board and the Trustee Office will also continue to monitor MUFG’s ongoing services to ElectricSuper Members and Employers as they do with Mercer. |
| What improvements can I expect with MUFG? | MUFG‘s technology and scale enable new features, enhanced security, and improved convenience for managing your super. For example, the introduction of online identity verification to streamline processes for locating lost super and withdrawing benefits including pension payments and annual pension declarations. Members will also have access to a mobile app to see their super online. |
